The Founder

Moxie Breast Cancer Foundation was founded by Jeniffer Ward. In 2018 I was diagnosed with Triple positive (ER/PR/HER2+) breast cancer. In June I started 5 rounds of TCHP (Taxotere, Carboplaten, Herceptin & Perjeta). I had a single mastectomy of the left breast and 10 lymph nodes in November of 2018. Mid-January 2019, I began six weeks of daily radiation. That's when the first round of healing began.

In August 2022, I learned my cancer had returned and was in multiple locations. Primarily my right hip, femur, low back, and right shoulder. This is where I learned how to advocate for myself. This is also where I truly began to learn how my faith was going to be tested.

Learning to Live Metastatic has been a super coaster ride. Full of emotions, tears, learning curves, and spiritual connection.

The ultimate goal of Moxie BCF is to be able to help others find God in the chaos. Send healing gifts to those starting out on their breast cancer chemo or radiation journey and Courage boxes to those who are metastatic. They have been curated and designed by Jeniffer who is creative at heart. Her spiritual gift is hospitality and sharing her talents with others makes her joyful.

My inspiration also comes from other people in my life, their stories, and their experiences.
